I believe it depends on what one is used to and finds good. I didn’t have my dishwasher directly at the sink for 15 years because raising it higher was much more important to me than proximity to the sink. In the interim apartment, the dishwasher is also not next to the sink, and here we have wood flooring in the kitchen. I never had problems with splashes, and if a water drop does fall on the floor while rinsing, so what. The wood floor certainly doesn’t get stained from that. Of course, I would also find it good to have it closer because I am “lazy” after all ;) but ergonomics come before immediate proximity for me. The idea of placing the dishwasher lower so I move more is personally absurd. My mother did sports her whole life and continues despite limitations, as with age the aches and pains came, and she is glad she doesn’t have to bend down to unload the dishes but has it at a comfortable height. But as I said, personal experiences and priorities play a big role. What is out of the question for one person may be perfect for another.

How much is the line spacing between [Insel] and [HS Zeile]? The dishwasher doors extend 64cm into the room. From the extension, it extends 45cm into the room from the front edge of the cabinet.

I'm curious to see if in one or two years you'll report whether you like the arrangement of the appliances or if you would have done it differently. For me, the dishwasher definitely belongs right next to the sink. Rinsing off leftovers and then loading the dishwasher. The distance would be too far for me, not because of the walking, but because of the dripping.

We already had it like that in the first house for 2 years, a very similar distance to the sink. We did it that way again because we found it very practical. But we are not “pre-rinsers.” If anything, food scraps go into the organic waste/compost, and the drawer is even a bit closer to the dishwasher than in the last house. The distance sink-dishwasher has remained very similar because we found the workflow there ideal.

I can hardly believe it myself, the glorious moment was just under an hour ago, but:
Fiber optic is in the house. It’s laid, connected, and tested. A huge weight about the size of Uluru has been lifted off my heart. o_O

The pull-out extends 45cm into the room from the front edge of the corpus.

I think about a meter or so, if I’m reading the plan correctly. I could measure it, but I don’t find it that important. We haven’t planned to store dishes in the opposite drawers. Pots maybe, but if they have to make a stopover on the island I wouldn’t find that bad.

Everyone has different work routines. We don't necessarily pre-rinse either, but we also don't want to open the dishwasher for every spoon or cup. So first, things are collected in the sink, at least the small items that accumulate between meals. And of course, it's wet when you put it into the dishwasher. But if you have already found this arrangement works well for you, then it's perfect.

What do you mean by that? I wouldn't have noticed that as a layperson.

Even without reading glasses: the joints of the back wall are at a different height than those of the side walls; and overall, the joint pattern of the back wall is a "wild bond."
