Is underfloor heating necessary in the shower? What do you think about it?

I find underfloor heating in the shower completely unnecessary. We didn't have it in our rental apartment before and therefore didn't install it in our own house (underfloor heating was installed as a DIY project). As already mentioned here, the tiles are warm by the time you step under the water. That takes a maximum of 3 seconds. And no one can tell me that they step into the shower that early before the tiles are warmed by the water.

The only reason I understand is that space for underfloor heating is needed because the rest of the room is so small. But in such a bathroom, I would have completely different problems than cold feet for 1-2 seconds.

So with my shower, I first have to step INTO the shower to even be able to turn on the water...

We do not have underfloor heating in the shower. We would have gotten it without extra charge. The tiler and the heating engineer both advised against it because they said that faster drying water would cause more limescale and water stains.

In the end, you don't even notice that there is no heating there. The room is warm, and so are the tiles. In fact, stains appear more quickly in the rest of the bathroom. However, those tiles are also anthracite.

well, we're getting a descaling anyway, otherwise it wouldn't work here at all... just for washing hair

Ok, warm water has more lime than cold water... nonsense... water in a warm environment has more lime-containing water than water in a colder environment [emoji848] How about photos as proof????

Maybe because more water dries on the warm tile compared to the cold tile, where it runs into the drain before drying[emoji848]?
