I am 1.8 m tall, so nothing sprays over.

In my opinion, using the window edge is a good idea.

In my opinion, it would be most visually appealing if the shower glass reached up to the ceiling. That is simply a nicer finish and might emphasize the room height a bit more. Regarding cleaning, I am currently wondering if water splashes reach up there often enough that it would need to be cleaned/wiped down after every shower. If not, the constant, nicer appearance that I always have in front of me would be worth the occasional bit of acrobatics when cleaning.

We had a similar situation in the old house and had the glass with the window locked. We found it the most visually appealing.

I think up to the ceiling would be too high for me. You would have to seal it somehow at the top with silicone or something, and when cleaning the glass you would always risk touching the ceiling with the cloth and leaving dirt/streaks over time. Besides, I have already mentally set my sights on getting myself a cool thing like this here. :D

I would close that as high as possible. Otherwise, it would simply be too cold for me there. The showerhead also doesn't seem to be very large, to be constantly surrounded by warm water. That means the ambient temperature plays a role, and this is always a drawback with walk-in/open showers, as the warm water vapor does not stay where you would like it to - like in a classic shower cabin.

Okay, I hadn’t had that problem yet. I actually like open showers a lot. But I also shower at temperatures where my husband says "ouch". =)
