*because of the tighter margins and the Z-celebrities … ehhh … nobody commissions craftsmen anymore

I don't get what you mean by that?

Well, tighter margins are self-inflicted. Either the margins get tighter or you pass on the price increases - many do that as well. I actually find it commendable that he doesn’t want to do that. I don’t currently see that craftsmen are underutilized here at all.

The party is just over. In the last 12-13 years, there was big money to be made as a business owner, now no longer or more difficult. When even butchers start building houses "professionally," you can probably say there was a gold rush mood. But those who deliver only moderate quality will very quickly have nothing to do at all when orders in the industry decline.

But what does that have to do with my BU? I wouldn’t say that he delivers only mediocre quality anywhere. It’s also not like he wouldn’t get any more work. He rather says that he’s quitting because it’s getting harder and harder to calculate, due to the price fluctuations.

But what is he doing instead then? Is he really becoming a butcher now?!

He has been doing that for over 20 years and also owns a lot of property himself, I think because he needs the money, he hasn't done that for a long time. :D
