I am surprised that all the pipes are exposed. Our heating engineer has insulated everything.

You used to need a buffer with the on/off heat pumps. Then you could heat the buffer and it would release the heat over time. Nowadays you basically always have modulating heat pumps that produce exactly the flow temperature they are supposed to. The screed then acts as the storage. Buffers are basically only prescribed by the manufacturers to prevent the pump from running dry during defrost cycles or closed heating circuits caused by the ERR. But if you deactivate the ERR and always keep all heating circuits open, that is sufficient. So the buffer is simply additional water that needs to be heated and partly releases its heat where it is not necessary (in the HAR). Insulation is certainly coming next

When I see BU/Sanitär next time, I'll ask about the background of the buffer. They must have had something in mind.

Otherwise, we just received offers from the electrician for photovoltaics / wallbox & co.

For 12.45 kWp, the price is €19,100, with a 12.8 kW storage €25,560. Fully installed and connected.
The kWp price is therefore €1,550, the storage costs €7,800 for 12.8. In the combo offer, he deducted another €1,000, plus there's some discount if you pay 50% upfront.

Overall, this is somehow more than we had budgeted for the initial photovoltaics. On the other hand, we find the offer attractive in terms of price. Therefore, we are currently considering borrowing the money from our savings somewhere. It could end up that we then have the car parked in a garage without a door, but with storage. :D For the garage door, we might not have enough left, though.

Gate can be done later. Price for the photovoltaic system is okay.

It’s probably not finished yet.

I would also rather do without the garage door, you can probably easily add it later anyway (wasn't that the idea from the beginning?), but then you have photovoltaics directly on it. If it still somehow fits financially right now, that would be my first choice. Until then, you just have a brick carport.

Yeah, it would just about still somehow fit. But with that, we really have to get down to the nitty-gritty, so otherwise not much else must happen. However, photovoltaics with storage would be an investment that would pay off enormously given our consumption profile. Next week we’re switching to electric cars, we’re only working from home, and we have air conditioning and a heat pump. We use a lot of electricity. In the old house, we had 4.55kwp on the roof and always wished we had more. Back then, we usually used over 60% ourselves, and that without storage.
