I would have that fear with both options. ^^ In the 70s house we are currently living in, I find the windowsills creepy. Back then it was modern.

I don’t think so. Well, you can paint almost anything nowadays, but it’s probably not intended for that.
We have a sample here; it reminds me a bit of a kitchen countertop, just harder.

If you search for "Polythal windowsills" you can find our selection. I haven’t quite figured out yet which of them cost extra and which don’t. Visually, I only want something as simple as possible like a cast windowsill in white (very plain), or just a "Fenorm Trend" in white wood.

Then I would rather go for classic wood. I imagine it looking really cool visually, in a vintage style, and maybe sanding it down in a few years, possibly in gray or blue.

I had already asked about that, it is probably not that easily possible.

I'm posting a little update again. By now, all the windows are installed on our side. The preliminary electrical installation is also finished. Next week, the preliminary plumbing installation will take place, and if the weather is suitable, the plasterer will follow immediately afterward. Furthermore, the insulation has arrived, which, as far as I know, should be installed beforehand. And all the tiles we ordered have arrived. We have a problem with one type, which we had in the offer and accepted in October - it was a clearance item and accordingly inexpensive. It was a natural stone tile. In January, the tile seller told us that a colleague probably sold our clearance stock elsewhere; those were also people who took them directly, so unfortunately, they are gone. However, we will get a replacement - initially, they are offering us an alternative tile that is apparently almost identical in appearance - and the price remains unchanged for us because it wasn't our fault. Everything else is now in stock for us, and we are already very curious to see how everything will come together. wah.

The problem we still had with our air conditioning was solved by our builder for us. We wanted a unit upstairs for all the kids' and guest rooms that could be operated with the doors open. But we simply couldn't find a place where it could be installed so that it blows in the right directions. A while ago, our builder called and said he would provide another split unit, so that one would be installed in each room, which would be done properly, and we would be rid of the problem. So the price of the air conditioning remains the same for us - although it really hurts compared to the house from 2020 - and the builder is installing another split unit for us out of goodwill. When I heard that, I later thought I wish I had packed him a slightly more expensive whisky for Christmas. ^^

I'm curious and crossing my fingers that everything continues as it has so far. But at the moment, we are very happy with the decision to choose the locally renowned builder who has neither a website nor a smartphone. He is really very personally committed.

Today was the construction inspection for the sanitary rough installation. Standing and walking for 1.5 hours through the still unheated house in the 9th month of pregnancy is quite exhausting. But it's worth it, we are SO excited about the house. Today we saw the new sample tile that was offered to us as a replacement. On the right (the broken piece) is our originally selected tile, which the dealer accidentally sold to someone else and can no longer be obtained. On the left is the tile he is offering as a replacement. They are really very similar (we could also get the left one in 60x60). Normally it would be more expensive, but we are getting it as standard because it is a replacement for the cheap tile that was lost through no fault of ours. I almost find the left one beautiful - so I guess it's a blessing in disguise.
