What I would find absolutely brilliant is if you left out the plain tile and framed the mosaic carpet with a row of parquet. But I don’t know if that’s even possible, how much work that would be, and at this point I’m too afraid to ask anymore. XD
I’ll quote myself: I finally dared to ask. I was briefly at the construction site today and met the interior finisher and told him that I thought it would look great because it creates the fewest "breaks" and would be very stylish, but I wasn’t sure if it was technically even possible.
He immediately said that it’s a good idea and that it would be possible. You’d have to clarify it again with the construction manager, as it might be somewhat more time-consuming because you would lay 2-4 floorboards against the laying direction to frame it and cut them at a 45-degree angle for the look etc. We’ll see, but that would of course be the best visual solution. Then we have to figure out what to do with 3 m² of extremely expensive Sant Agostino Uni tiles. But that should be the least of our problems.
