I would actually want to exclude that visually. The staircase is already in progress; the steps should all be made from the beautiful wood. A different solution will be found. The interior fitter initially suggested that they clear the area there and take measurements, and then we can talk again on site when it can be laid out.

I wouldn't immediately dismiss the idea of the step ... I wanted to say and then I looked at the photo again ... The step would basically already be the first "down" step What is still called a "step" there is supposed to have tiles on it.

Yes, exactly. What you currently see as a "cavity" is already intended for a thick wooden floorboard, and I definitely don't want to miss that. =)

I think there is much to be said for the concept from ... Then tiles/wood form a line up to the wall on the right and with clever furnishing the transition to the double edge can be disguised quite well ;)

I’m afraid your laying preference requires a fairly exact (fitting) room measurement.. You probably can’t avoid cutting or piecing together single-color tiles. My favorite laying pattern would probably be this one..

I would determine the transition (wood floor to tiles) after laying the tiles.. either add another row of tiles or bring the wood right up to them.

I like it better in the pictures...

I’ll quote myself: I finally dared to ask. I was briefly at the construction site today and met the interior finisher and told him that I thought it would look great because it creates the fewest "breaks" and would be very stylish, but I wasn’t sure if it was technically even possible.

He immediately said that it’s a good idea and that it would be possible. You’d have to clarify it again with the construction manager, as it might be somewhat more time-consuming because you would lay 2-4 floorboards against the laying direction to frame it and cut them at a 45-degree angle for the look etc. We’ll see, but that would of course be the best visual solution. Then we have to figure out what to do with 3 m² of extremely expensive Sant Agostino Uni tiles. But that should be the least of our problems. So more or less this is what I mean by the 45-degree angle:
