I am currently planning our utility room. :) The photo shows the current stage of the shell construction. One wall is supposed to get a kitchen unit – we can take that from the temporary apartment. The other wall was initially also supposed to get a kitchen unit, and then a drying rack would be placed in front of the window. But I somehow lack space for that / it would be too cluttered if it stands there. Also, with the additional kitchen cabinets, I would then be missing a place to sort laundry. Therefore, I have now removed the drying rack and the kitchen unit (don’t be surprised, they are temporarily standing in the bedroom in the photo :D). And I am considering installing an "Boaxel" combination from Ikea on the side opposite the unit, for sorting dirty laundry and hanging clothes that don’t go in the dryer. That would be tidier, I think? We would then just have to store our cleaning supplies / vacuum cleaner / mops & co in the storage room in the basement and would not have cleaning items in the utility room. I don’t know if that’s practical? Actually, there aren’t too many overlaps in usage between laundry and cleaning supplies, right?
