I’d also find a skirting board quite nice. Maybe made of wood as well. But that would be an additional cost again. However, that could also be decided at a later time. For the moment, the only important thing would be the decision itself because this track would have to go in before the screed.

Yes, wasn't that even the case in the old house?

I remember some cars there?

Last week my level flew away ... I have now taken the tip with the stuffed animals to heart ;)

Yes, that's true, in the old house toy cars often flew down the stairs, or other toys. That caused one or two dents in the wood. That would of course argue for a type of glass, so the fronts to the children's rooms would be closed - unless they throw high and far. :D

A brief update from us:

Hurray, hurray, the plaster is here!
Inside, everything is finished except for the bathrooms. They will come next week, and the garage will also get plaster.
Then the underfloor heating will be installed, followed by the screed. According to the contractor's plan, the screed will be in by Easter at the latest. We hope to move in around July/August.

Next week, our bathroom furniture will arrive (Jakob from Tikamoon, in case anyone is interested). Our contractor will store it for us in his hall. We receive the bathroom ceramics (material only) as a credit from the general contractor. I will order those myself today or tomorrow. The contractor will also pick up these items from us when they are delivered and store them until they are needed. We will open the packages together, check that everything is in order, and then he will install everything for us, including the furniture. Just a cool guy. :)
In total, we are paying an extra charge of about €1,000 for the sanitary items. But for that, we will have our beloved "Artis" washbasins from Villeroy & Boch, and for the toilet, we decided on the Aquablade version of our previous WC. We hope that the Aquablade flushing will stop the occasional splashing. But if not, we will live with it; we just really like the look of the toilet.

And last but not least – the resident of children’s room 2 was born healthy and happy last Thursday. :)
