You can see it that way too :D. And I’m not saying that I’m totally unhappy with the parquet. Because the furniture and rugs of course have the advantage that you don’t see that much of the parquet. No, just kidding. The lively parquet certainly has its fans and naturally radiates a certain modern loft/industrial style and with an unplastered concrete wall it definitely has something. And if you are more nature-oriented you will surely also like the knots and different tones. So it’s all a matter of taste.

You don't know them like that. It's a one-man show, no homepage, no smartphone. A guy like that, if you're looking for him, you'll find him in overalls at the construction site. :)

Let's continue. However, the status will probably stay the same until mid-October when the floor slab is installed.

We are still thinking about the floors. Meanwhile (I think also thanks to you!) my husband also likes the idea of parquet. :D Even for the kitchen. Which I find exciting, because I don’t know if I would dare. But of course, it would be nice to have uniformity.

We absolutely don’t know what to put in the office. What is suitable as a floor covering where heavy people roll around for hours every day with an office chair? In the old house, we had vinyl and protective mats on top. But I definitely don’t want those dirt mats again. Fine dirt always got underneath them and those things were death traps. If you stepped on them the wrong way once, they would slip out from under you, and we both almost broke our backs several times because of that.

But isn’t parquet the death knell for office chair wheels? Maybe tiles?

I have thought of a small carpet for the problem, which should be placed in the rolling area in front of the desk.

Yes, that's how I had it in two offices as well.
