The "Mirage" tiles are really very beautiful. But is it really sensible to lay them in storage rooms/laundry rooms? Basically having the most expensive tiles there?
If you got them so cheaply, I would use them in the living area and choose new, cheaper tiles for the storage room.

No, we're going by the appearance. The quantity delivered matches exactly the calculated areas, and we don't want tiles in the living rooms. Wood flooring will be installed there.

Here you can see the bathroom tiles from the right side. And in the first rooms, the ceilings are closed.

We were at the construction site again yesterday and took a look inside. The ceilings are now largely suspended. And we found deep primer, wallpaper, and fleece wallpaper adhesive. And it has been sanded again. I have to say, I’m pretty amazed. The painting work is included in our construction contract, but not specified further than "fleece wallpaper, painted white." No quality specification, no big details. Since the house was already at our price limit, we agreed at contract signing, "we'll take what we get" regarding the walls. When I see how much they are filling and sanding here, my goodness... I think our garage interior is smoother than our entire old house. They will probably wallpaper with a smooth fleece (Systexx Vlies V14). I can’t name a quality level now, but such a fleece must be sanded quite smoothly. I know that we had this quoted for the last house, and Q4 and painter’s fleece would have cost over 20k extra. And that was at 2019 house prices.

So if you write like that, soon some will join your side, with the land prices and such a [GU]. That's really awesome! I'm already looking forward to the photos when the floors and tiles are laid.

Me too!
The general contractor has already hinted that he won't be doing this for much longer. He said it's no longer fun with the current price increases. He recently told us how much higher he would have to price the house we're currently building nowadays. It's not pleasant anymore. And it seems to be getting harder to find people as well. I really often see on our construction site that the contractors are working themselves too. For example, the guy from whom we selected the flooring is now also on the site sanding and filling.
I've also seen our general contractor sitting in the excavator. The plumber is also often seen on the site. That is, the boss, the partner.
I didn't know that from our first build at all. Back then, there were bosses, and they had employees. But you never saw the bosses on the construction site.
