Either the smiley is missing for irony, or occupational safety stops at the doorstep ;)

We did it privately. No one wears safety shoes there. I am also somewhat unclear about why you absolutely need them when carrying boxes and cabinet parts around. And yes, it actually works quite well, 2 people unload the van, 2-3 distribute it in the house.

I'm happy for you that you could move so cheaply. :) Why? About double the moving volume for about double the price. That fits quite well. The estimate is probably correct. It matches my previous move from Lower Saxony to Rhineland-Palatinate, and we had more than one viewing. Our daughter is 3 months old, so strictly speaking it is now a 4-person household. ^^

Or those who distribute inside wear clean shoes, if you like also safety shoes.

You have a vivid imagination.. I've never thought that someone might feel personally attacked by it. Because we have something called language. The craftsmen who have been with us so far have always worn overshoes and in my opinion, that wasn't the first time either, at least they didn't have a horrified facial expression.

And if they did, we made up for "the certain attitude" at the latest by always offering them something to drink and, depending on the time of day, a snack. I could even always see the gratitude for that in their faces.

We appreciate every person who comes into our home, no matter the occasion :)

We have the first wallpapers on the walls and ceilings. I am completely thrilled. Astonished. Amazed. =)

We have a turnkey contract, and the painting work with white paint was already included. The section about these works in the construction specifications was somehow 1.5 lines long. When we signed it, I discussed with my husband that we would "take whatever we get."
In our old house, we had Q2 plaster (suitable for wallpapering with woodchip wallpaper) included in the contract. We then outsourced the painting work externally, directly on the Q2 plaster. It was okay, but not perfect – but the painter only charged 5.5k gross, you can't complain about that. We also had the house provider offer us Q3 plaster + painting fleece and white paint... I can't find it anymore, but I think the surcharge was around €15-20k.

Since the new house contract was already pretty much at the pain threshold, we decided to live with the walls we get for now. And what can I say... my contract didn't specify a Q level nor which type of wallpaper we would get. I wanted to ask if we could get something other than classic woodchip wallpaper because I don't like the look – but that became unnecessary when I saw the packages with the rolls in the house. This time our garage is sanded smoother than our entire previous house.

I'm curious how it will look once painted, but so far I find it great. It far exceeds my expectations.
