What do you mean by that? In my version, the trash containers are about 4 m from the entrance in a suitable enclosure ... what is supposed to bother about that? And shared use of the driveway would mean somewhat less paving work for the path to the house, especially since I think that one would make a path from the garage driveway to the house entrance anyway.

As I said, we simply divided it by use – one with a lounge, one with a dining table. We also gladly switch around as we feel like. I don't have the basement floor, where the exit is, quite in my head now, but I would make it dependent on what stands where. With a corner terrace, you have many possibilities, especially due to the different sunlight exposure. We are already sitting on one terrace in spring; the other is still too cold because the sun only shines on it late. But in summer, it gets really sunny there from noon on, giving the true summer feeling, though sometimes we flee back to the other terrace ;-) . But it has the beautiful evening sun and a nice view. You are completely free to place whatever where. You can always change it again and again. Dining table, lounge, deck chairs, kids’ water/mud play table, mini-pool,... the more area, the better  Regarding the curve: I mean that I would design the path leading to the front door/driveway/pedestrian entrance not with an angle but curved. That looks less strict and fits more to the country house style that you, I believe, still really like, right? But I can imagine that curvy paving might be more expensive than angular. You’d have to see. I would probably simply pave a curve (instead of a right angle) from the front door towards the driveway, and maybe make the path downwards to the boundary less straight somehow as well, possibly with flower beds alternating right/left. So artificially make it run in a curve on the straight surface. And I wouldn’t make the access exclusively via the driveway, as the car etc. is already there, that would be too tight and feel not very inviting to me.

I would create a flower bed in the orange marked area. I would pave the entire area in front of the entrance and the garage, if financially feasible.

In my opinion, this is the best way. That way, you are not so cramped in front of the garage. How do you want to get out of the right car on the passenger side? I assume you are not driving backwards into the garage.

That's how I imagined it. You will eventually be glad to have more space to park in front of the house.

One could also separate the areas using different orientations or materials.

Hey everyone!
Thank you very much for all the input! I haven’t had a chance to properly respond until now. I will do so this evening.
I took your examples and roughly put together a draft from them.
What I should have mentioned: The garbage bin cabinet from the draft comes from the architect, it was not desired by us and never planned that way. We just left it as a "suggestion," but we are currently planning to put the bins in the garage. Even if they will be placed somewhere else in the future, certainly not in front of the front door. ;)

This is how I could imagine it – do you have any ideas, comments, or potential for optimization?
The terrace is somewhat smaller than in the original draft, but the size I would like is about 70 sqm, which I think will be too expensive for me.

I was shocked when creating this sketch. Even if we implement it as is, there will still be an awful lot of land left for which I have no plan yet as to what I will do with it. Whatever it will be, it must not get more expensive for now.

My husband would like to have terrace-style beds for vegetables/berry bushes, etc., behind the house – that is, behind the terrace or to the left of it.
I also think they are beautiful, but I have no clue how much something like that could cost.
Has anyone ever inquired about this with a landscape gardener and received prices? A very rough estimate would already give me a reference point.
