One more note. Please remember the power lines in the garden. Especially a staircase going downhill should be illuminated when you are outside at dusk. Also, you need safety measures, especially when it goes steeply downhill and small children are around.

The issue with fall protection is a very important point. It is often forgotten.

First terrace directly at the house at least 5m deep, preferably 8m, then with two terraces stepping down, railing, power lines for lighting (at least two, we have 5 lines going throughout the entire outdoor area) do not forget. Decision between a continuous staircase or several separate staircases, this could be a start.

I don't know when this started to become ridiculous, I think somewhere between six-figure order volume and infinity pool. But maybe we just do nothing at all, that costs exactly 0 euros. :D

By the way, the rough estimates from our contractor ranged between 2000 and 16000 euros. :P

However, they had nothing to do with the slope. I probably won't invest much in the slope because it actually slopes away from our terrace, so it doesn't really add much visually. We would just like to plant a little something there that can be eaten later. But this is not crucial in the first step. It would be different if our garden below the slope had another level, but it doesn't. Where the slope ends, the property ends too. The idea with the wooden enclosure in the picture much further forward only comes from the desire for the terraced vegetable garden.

In the fashionable Southwest Palatinate, I tend to say "or". Nice idea, unfortunately the slope here goes in the wrong direction for that (away from the action).

Which with increasing age of the children and the number of playmates does not necessarily have to be a disadvantage…
