Unfortunately not yet. We are still waiting for feedback regarding the preliminary building inquiry. As soon as there is a new draft, I will upload it here.

I have also thought about whether it would be easier to move the front door to the north. Then you would not only have a shorter path from the garage to the front door, but in my opinion, it would be easier to orient the WC, technical room, and possibly the storage room to the north. Originally, we wanted the entrance centered on the east side for aesthetic reasons, without considering the consequences for the floor plan. But I think you can also create a nice bay window with a floor-to-ceiling window instead of the front door on the east side. That area could then belong to the office. Also, having the front door on the north side would give more flexibility since it does not have to be centered. On the other hand, we would like the east side to be symmetrical.

I have not mentioned this to the architect yet. What do you think? Front door facing east or north?

I would leave it facing east. I can't imagine you being happy with a north entrance and a bay window facing the street. But regarding a covered terrace in the area where you want to capture the sun in the house, a freezer room attached, a short path from garage/entrance, etc., well, and the other things mentioned, let it be properly planned.

If necessary, have the access route changed then roughly like this

Has there been any progress with the exchange of ideas?

Thank you again for your feedback. The architect has redesigned. This is what the new draft looks like. We previously communicated these wishes to the architect:

    [*]Kitchen facing the street
[*]Windows on the street side symmetrical
[*]Access to the study through the hallway instead of the living area
[*]Storage room as a passage from the garage into the house
[*]2 children's rooms facing south or west
[*]Covered terrace with small outdoor kitchen

The wall between the gallery and hallway will be replaced by a simple stair railing in the next draft.

I personally like the draft quite a lot already. I am still uncertain about the following points:

[*]The architect still believes that the technical room should not be within the thermal envelope. It would be unnecessary costs, and he also spoke again with an energy consultant about this.
[*]The architect recommends planning a windbreak. However, I am of the opinion that modern houses do not need a windbreak.
[*]Upstairs, I am unsure whether the children's bathroom and laundry room offer enough space. Maybe one large bathroom instead of a parents' and a children's bathroom?
[*]On the ground floor, a ceiling height of 256 cm is planned in this draft. I would like somewhat more for aesthetic reasons, about 270 cm. The architect says 256 cm is sufficient; otherwise, the staircase would probably become a bit steeper. Perhaps only a 3D visualization can help decide this?!
[*]The garage may still be made a bit larger so that there is space for a small workbench.

Strange. You are right. hm… ok… how old is the architect? Or you would have to extend them by 1-2 steps. The master suite on the upper floor is totally misplanned. The bedroom serves as a hallway between the dressing room and bathroom: it hardly could be more restless for the sleeper. First, if I were you, I would draw your desired furnishings to scale so that tight spots in the open plan can be identified. For a quick overview, I miss the grid. Then I don't find the narrow areas in the northeast particularly nice. To change them and keep the symmetry, I would divide the windows on the east and then rotate the toilet and cloakroom. The toilet can handle the narrowness, but for the cloakroom, where you move by the cabinets, it is not suitable. Your planned outdoor kitchen has absolutely no connection to the kitchen. Completely counterproductive. It is even the farthest room – you would have to go with the ingredients across the open space and then past the chill corner. Do you want it that way???
