North is where the balcony is? I find that suboptimal, even if the property obviously slopes down to the north and a house on a hillside makes sense. Have you ever thought about orienting the entire layout more towards the west? So opening the living area to the west and placing the main terrace/balcony there as well?

I wouldn't like the enclosed study, especially since in a pinch it also has to serve as a guest room (right?). I find the walk-in closet almost too large, and access always through the bedroom is suboptimal if a couple has very different wake-up times. If the layout is to remain as it is, I would put both children's rooms on the west side (instead of the walk-in closet/bedroom), the walk-in closet/bedroom on the east side (it's also nicer to wake up in the sunshine than to have to fall asleep in a bedroom warmed by the evening sun), and put the bathroom in the north bay. That would probably be better in terms of the connections as well.

If north is towards the slope anyway, I would probably place the staircase in a very open stairwell there and orient the rooms west/east. So completely redesign. A totally different concept.

Thank you for your feedback, unfortunately you misunderstood something or maybe I didn't explain it clearly enough. The north arrow on the site plan is decisive. The north arrow on the [Hsusplänen] is unfortunately drawn incorrectly.

Okay, then the balcony is facing west, one child's room facing north, bedroom facing south. I would still change the rooms upstairs as I suggested (children's room south, bathroom west in the bay window, bedroom/dressing room north).

And the caught AZ would not be mine...

here is our second version of the floor plan for the ground floor and attic.

Not much has changed on the ground floor. However, I still don't like the access to the study. My idea would be to leave out the shower in the WC, then mirror the staircase with the WC and thus create access to the study through the hallway with a wardrobe.

I think the layout in the bay window for the two children (so the nicest rooms) in the attic makes sense. Still considering whether the storage room is really necessary or if we should have a larger bathroom instead. If the staircase on the ground floor is mirrored, of course it must also be mirrored in the attic.

Any opinions on this?

I only just noticed that (in the ground floor WC) a sliding door is supposed to disappear into a 14.5 cm wall, behind a water pipe. The wall almost has to be built by a watchmaker for that to work ;-)

I consider showers in ground floor WCs accessible from the vestibule without a guest room on the same floor to be a waste – unless the dog likes to wallow. Otherwise, it probably won’t be used.

The windows are standardly hinged on the right side in the plan when they are single-leaf. That doesn’t seem like the best choice in several rooms.

With two basements, there will hardly be a shortage of storage rooms to such an extent that the sloped ceiling space behind the bathroom in the attic would still really be needed for that.

Without considering the building's orientation, I noticed that the dressing room has a width of 1.70 meters. If you want to place wardrobes opposite each other, only 50 cm remain, which is enough to walk through but not for a wardrobe door, let alone for dressing or looking at your clothes. I would check the same in the bathroom: 3 meters for the bathtub, main passage to the toilet, washbasin, tiles on the walls -> the passage can become narrow there. For that, I find 3 meters width in the living room for TV and co plenty, even enough for a stylish wide shelf. I don't find a door to the home office bad at all, but rather good :) Best regards in short
