Oh, that doesn't look good
Shouldn't the parquet have been continued from the step? In relation to the expansion joint, of course, but it could certainly be done better. I also don't find the choice of the right parquet piece on the stairs aesthetically pleasing.

That might be the solution... Can the gluing also be done afterwards if the doors are already installed? Baseboards could probably be removed again relatively easily?

The joint of the staircase is located under the rail. Unfortunately, I don't know if the stair step necessarily has to end there. A straight rail as a finish would not have bothered us at all, but like this...
And yes, the right plank is not particularly nice :-(. But we could have lived with that.

At our place, the expansion joint between the staircase and the floor (here cork) is filled with colored silicone. That means, on the floor side, a metal profile finishes it off (a narrow strip is visible from above), then there is a tiny gap, followed by the stair tread. Silicone is in the gap. Alternatively, a cork strip can be integrated.

That would definitely be much more compatible. Thanks for the tip!
Is the floor glued down or floating?

The staircase is made of concrete, a structural component on its own, especially since it touches two floors. A expansion joint makes sense there. Gluing onto it, logically without bridging the expansion joint, also makes sense. I consider floating installation of the parquet in the living areas to be professional and would also prefer it. The rail is from the cabinet of horrors, and definitely not intended for that purpose. In an industrial building, any BG would throw it out strictly. Otherwise, I simply agree with the statements of ypg (#9) and Bieber0815 (#12) instead of repeating them here.
