How cheap can parquet be?

We are complete novices at DIY and correspondingly naive. But we thought that you could rent such a machine for sanding at the hardware store, of course for a fee, and then sand an upper floor within 2 hours and then vacuum once and clean once and that would be it? Not?

It depends on the condition of the floor. Even if you only perform one sanding process, you need more time because you cannot work in the corners with the large machine and above all, you have to reseal.

You say "naturally glued". So is that an alternative? That would be a problem for us in that we definitely don't dare to glue it ourselves and would have to budget so much money for professional installation that it wouldn't fit into the planned amount for the renovations. With these clic systems, we thought it would be doable with a bit of help from more experienced craftsmen. But gluing, no.

Before anyone wonders why Lucy is replying: the technology is marvelous. I just went back into the forum via Tapa Talk and had registered here or elsewhere in 2011 (???) as miss Westenraa. And this username was now used for house construction?
Anyway, just so no one wonders...

1) It does not need to be glued. 2) The later sanding and resealing is not a DIY job. 3) We lived on parquet laid in 1994 until 16. The parquet was never resealed. It was intact. Shoes off... then it lasts forever.

Hm... we're starting to waver again.

Taking off shoes is one thing, but with two small children, a parquet floor will surely get scratches... just as a rough guideline, what would you roughly have to expect to pay for sanding and sealing 50 sqm by a professional?

Why does parquet get dents with 2 small children? It gets dents from high heels. Not from Lego bricks. Roughly calculate re-sealing at 800,- gross.

Google bamboo parquet: Bamboo is not wood, but a grass and therefore even harder than oak. The price, however, is lower than parquet flooring.
