Hi!

To keep it short: Laminate feeling! Whether the glasses in the cabinet shake depends on the impact sound insulation. We used 2 mm cork; that keeps it within limits.

That’s why I also recommended wide plank flooring with bevel – at least the appearance then fits! This also applies to second choice – laminate isn’t that unevenly sorted and with (small) defects. Plus, it’s either oiled or matte lacquered.

Structure: 0.2 mm overlapping foil, 2 mm cork, packing paper as sliding layer, parquet. No (!) wooden-look baseboards.

Today’s laminate looks great but is future hazardous waste. Also, it behaves like diamond and zirconia – it’s a matter of mindset.

Best regards, Tomtom.

Hey, only positive feedback please!

That doesn't sound good. We are spoiled by industrial parquet in our last apartment. There you simply have that solid feeling under your feet. Installed parquet is too expensive for us. Artificial flooring is out of the question. So we can only hope that we like the click bamboo.
I'm wondering if it might make sense to glue the tongue and groove. There is also an impact sound insulation that has an adhesive surface on which you lay the parquet.

Hello!

Gluing is generally not recommended. I don't remember the exact reasons. Wood swelling behavior. Block failure.

Yes, this glue mat is great. Ecological Cheap Easy to install And with this material thickness, the glasses in the display cabinet are happy.

We ended up choosing cork, paper, and wood (you can't avoid the foil). I hadn't had bamboo yet. The advantages should be hardness and neutral appearance. And many don't even know that it's grass.

Regards,
Tomtom.

Yes, the matter with the mat is settled. That's really expensive. I had a phone call with the dealer today; they have already discontinued it. He recommends 2mm impact sound insulation based on my requirements, not 3mm as I initially planned (more = better). The thinner the foam, the less pronounced the floating feeling is (glasses vibrating, etc.).

Feedback again: The solid feeling does not come through as expected. It also creaks. However: No plastic feeling. Nice and warm, pleasant and natural. We like it very much so far. Only real parquet would be better - a question of price...

Oh, I also texted here once. Meanwhile, I have lived on my "giftig" glued parquet for half a year and can only say positive things about it. My buddy with loosely laid parquet couldn't stop being amazed by the feeling. So I would do it again anytime.
