So far, we have neither ordered the dishwasher nor installed the kitchen. I'm just wondering what exactly I need to order so that it fits. So you mean Varioscharnier. But it seems that this doesn't exist for this machine - or am I just too stupid to look? The Ikea guy said I should take these slide things and even put them on the order. That should make an 80 front fit an 86.5 machine, right?!

I definitely want to have the timeLight and A would also be nice. So Miele is out. Sigh ...

Your requests cannot be fulfilled at the moment. For Metod, [Timelight A] does not exist. [Timelight A] exists or [Infolight A] or [Timecontrol A] are available from Miele.
[SMV68M90EU] only exists as it is, not well suited for METOD.

But with the "Stefan method" it would work ... I don't dislike that much. The only question I have is: Does the TimeLight still work then? I can't find any exact information about from where it is projected onto the floor. It would be a bit annoying if lowering the dishwasher blocks the light!

The SMV68M90EU is of normal height. With the Stefan method, it only works if the entire kitchen base is raised. If I remember correctly, 9 cm was mentioned here. The front would then protrude about 8 cm at the top, and that much must also be inserted between the dishwasher and the countertop.

Oh, right - then I probably didn’t mean the SMV, but rather its tall XXL brother. These stupid designations...

By the way, I must be extremely blind or my actually quite decent research skills failed me in this case. In any case, I can’t find a single XXL dishwasher with timeLight and Vario hinge - no matter the energy rating. So I will probably order one without the hinge and install it using the Stefan method.

It is probably more due to my memory than your research skills. I think I remember someone here reporting about a device with a variable hinge and [Timelight], that [Timelight] also works with the 80 cm front. What is that actually needed for? For me, the remaining time is constantly displayed, but I never intentionally look at it because the program has to run anyway until it is finished.
