That’s not what is talking about at all. The front looks good, nicely chosen. But you should leave a bit more space between the stove and the sink. Just because you’ve gotten used to something that isn’t ideal doesn’t mean you have to carry that over into your new expensive kitchen. By the way, I spontaneously criticized the darkness.

That also caught my attention as a second point. At first, I thought: finally someone who is ruining their not-too-large island with the cooktop, until I looked one space behind. I would also leave a bit more space between the cooktop and the sink. Although: if my eyes don’t deceive me, that is a sink with a draining board, right? What kind of countertop is planned? If it is natural stone, ceramic, or similar (i.e., resistant to moisture and heat), then I would choose a simple sink WITHOUT a draining board. You basically don’t need that with a dishwasher, and you would have a bit more workspace between the sink and the cooktop.

Overall, the floor plan would be interesting – as I assume it, I would probably plan the tall cabinets where the sink and cooktop are now and a kitchen row where the tall cabinets are now, and rotate the island by 90°, so it would then be parallel to this kitchen row. But that is pure speculation without a floor plan.

I don’t think the idea of putting tall cabinets against the back wall is bad at all. But the wall where the tall cabinets are currently is about 2 meters wide. If you put a row with a cooktop and sink there, they would be right next to each other since the two already have 180 cm. And the prep island should remain one, the stove and sink should definitely be on the row. Currently, there is barely 60 cm of space between. Or was your idea to put 3 tall cabinets on the back wall plus the rest as a row? So a mini row straight ahead and another small one to the left?

60cm between tall cabinets and island? That's very tight... A good distance is 110 - 130cm

Do you still have the option to relocate the connections accordingly?
And, as mentioned, with the appropriate countertop you don’t need a 180cm sink, a single basin is enough for a 60cm base cabinet.

My comments were also very vague because I don’t know the floor plan.

The just under 60 cm refers to the current distance between the cooktop and the sink. See text. 180 cm sink? There was no mention of that. Cooktop plus sink plus draining board together are about 180 and refers to the fact that a 200 cm row on the left wall makes little sense if the sink, stove, etc. were also to be placed there. If you put 3 tall cabinets at the head of the row and then a row on the left, you would have 2 separate mini rows which, in my opinion, offer no added value.

Anyway: save yourselves the draining board - no one with a dishwasher needs that. You don’t have much workspace - I wouldn’t give up any space for a draining board/draining area. Better to have a small extra sink on the island. We have that and it’s so brilliant. You need the tap far more often than the hob.
