we have that too, we didn’t know: At the first dishwasher run, I initially thought, who made a stain on the floor.

Nice gimmick, my choice has and wouldn’t influence it though

I just wiped it away! No, you don't really need it, it's just nice... like so many things - The important thing is that it rinses well AND is quiet!!!

I was also initially interested in Ikea because I simply love this country-style kitchen and wanted to have it ... but I couldn’t manage to get a really good freestanding island with it, and I completely dropped the idea when trying to install the dishwasher elevated ... then came the desire for a cool dressed-up SBS or French Door and for wall panels, and when I fell in love with the SystemCentra 90 sink at the kitchen builder, the decision was clear (-;

After the third IKEA kitchen in the family by now, the assembly also goes significantly faster, drawer 5-8 min. The first one was still a display model Faktum during the system change, current rental apartment and last year at the parents'.

Our rental apartment has plain Veddinge fronts in white and some cabinets that don’t actually exist like that, such as a counter with a recessed storage compartment and an extendable worktop with a 10cm high step.

Mom then preferred the country house version (vertical grooves).

In terms of quality, I have looked at pretty much everything else in the price range. There are always differences or better or different details, such as seals on the fronts or deeper cabinets, but overall with self-assembly and some DIY skills, it is also possible to save a decent amount of money. With assembly (in my opinion €200 per linear meter), you always have to consider the individual case. But in an emergency, you have the option to replace 2 doors cheaply, add a drawer where in the kitchen studio suddenly a low 40cm cabinet with 2 drawers at a friend cost over €1,000.

Appliances mixed, partly IKEA, partly NEFF

I finally chose an IKEA kitchen as well. And so far it has been doing very well. There is nothing that makes me think: Damn, I should have bought a real kitchen.

The photo is still from the sale of the apartment. It is never that clean at my place (unfortunately).
