Is the countertop laminate, Resopal, or solid wood and also from Ikea?

It is the solid wood board from Ikea (Skogarp, I think) in oak. I am happy about the countertop every day. Wood in the kitchen is great, I think. I wouldn’t even consider laminate anymore.

Wood requires a bit more maintenance, but only a little. You just have to oil it every now and then. But with drips, it makes no difference at all: I wipe it away anyway. With laminate, I would also wipe it up.

I had a granite countertop in the previous apartment. I found it cold in appearance. And it was dark gray to black. That was tiring for the eyes. That’s why I prefer wood.

Our kitchen was finally completely finished this weekend. We assembled the 177 Ikea packages ourselves.

Nice kitchen. But the wine is stored incorrectly – you have to finish it quickly, otherwise there will be cork taint.
