Excuse me? Or do you mean only the drug-containing stimulants?

Houses, gardens, cars, kitchen pictures... not everything is always just about function, but also about enjoyment of the matter, colloquially pleasure. And if not presenting, then what do you do in picture threads, when planning a desired aesthetic, etc.?

And honestly: If this were an alcohol-free household, there would be nothing to see either. But having alcohol behind closed doors does not make it disappear nor lessen its effect. In true alcoholics, the reserve is invisibly stored in the toilet cistern.

And the fact that alcohol is an intoxicant, while certain products containing alcohol are also stimulants, contains a contradiction – I can only get one without too much of the other by controlling the amount. Why should it not be socially accepted to do that?

Unfortunately, I have a lot of alcoholics in the family, some of them sober for years, others probably going downhill soon, others already there. None of these family members had the liquor openly standing, but there are definitely people who know how to appreciate and fear alcohol.

So personally, I really don’t like it when alcohol is just standing around anywhere... no matter if it’s expensive or cheap. However, I myself don’t drink any alcohol at all, because so far I have found all the alcoholic beverages I have tried totally disgusting (also regardless of whether they were expensive or cheap)... I just seem to taste the alcohol way too much... Since my daughter was born, I tend to view alcohol even more critically, because I simply don’t want alcohol or alcoholic beverages to be part of her everyday life. In my environment, I have the impression that the teenagers/now adults who grew up with parents where alcohol was more present also consume more of it... it doesn’t have to be true but at least that’s my impression and that’s why there isn’t any alcohol openly standing around in this house and I make sure that alcohol is consumed at most occasionally in front of my daughter. Some will surely find this exaggerated but no one has to copy it anyway.

What’s going on here! Confession required? Should one come forward, confess one’s sins to the Lord Jesus and then surrender one’s life? Wasn’t that a [Küchenbilder] topic? Why does one now feel compelled to comment on whether a Franconian lady has some whiskey bottles open in her kitchen or not? Who asked for that to be judged? Who does that concern? I can’t believe it, now I’m learning about alcoholics in the family, about grown-ups and teenagers, about smoothies with liquor, whether one likes alcohol or not, whether a woman of the third gender drinks wine or beer or whatever... whether there is a basement bar or whatever... and everything nicely morally judged. What is going on here! Everyone under- hopped, under- screwed, or both? Karsten
