On our plan, 13.4 sqm is allocated for the kitchen. The kitchen unit by the window is 327 cm long, plus the two tall cabinets, so another approximately 120 cm. The island is 330 long, 120 deep. The distance between the two kitchen units is somewhere between 125 and 128.

Here is our new kitchen. From Ikea and self-assembled. Only wall finishing strips and baseboard finishes are missing. And at the breakthrough, a white counter extension will be added. The size of the kitchen is just under 8 m2

The kitchen would be way too small and cramped for me; when cooking together, you just get in each other's way. But we used to have it like that too, because there was no other way.
