I have been in this forum for about a year now and have been observing – among other things – kitchens and bathrooms.
What I notice: The rectangle has prevailed. At first, I don’t find that either bad or good. There is room for “new things” here as well, but at first glance, I have to say, they all look very similar. No, you don’t always have to reinvent and design everything. The question is: Is it done this way because it is pleasant, or because it is just “the way it’s supposed to be”? It reminds me of Japanese design, and the Japanese are at the top of my “these are masters” list. Nonetheless, I remain somewhat amazed. One reason for this astonishment is that I think when life comes into such a kitchen, the design idea goes out the window … Personally, “all of it” is TOO angular and boxy for me, but I admit it “has something.”
Part of this amazement may also be due to the fact that I assume most of the photos of kitchens and bathrooms shown here (that I have seen) tend to be in a higher financial league. The space alone, which is usually required, is generously sized. That has always been a good prerequisite for pleasant architecture.
… just wanted to share that :-)
