When I think about my activities in the kitchen, I find the space useful for storage, but impractical for working. Often some residues (crumbs, splashes, water vapor, ...) remain inside the chamber, which you can then clean only with some effort (take everything out -> clean -> put everything back), or a hidden dirt area develops if you skip cleaning more often.

It will become clear then, it does not cook in it but is ideal especially for our shakes, mixer or bread machine. Because in the past we never felt like digging out the shaker etc. if it is already there it is already pleasant. Nevertheless, this is new for us too and I will see if the cabinet is any good.

The furniture is quite nice. The lighting, especially the three "upside-down bowls," is not suitable for a kitchen (where cooking is done). They hang way too low and therefore get dirty far too quickly. The "spotlight era" is over by now. Even lights that hang directly from the ceiling get filthy in the kitchen sooner or later. Nice things are often impractical.

Were there ever spotlight times, if you look at the current Molto Luce catalog, spotlights are still usable. It always depends on the overall lighting design. The spotlights scatter indirect light over the cabinets which is dimmable into the living area and thus set accents. Further basic lighting is taken over by a light cove with a length of 7 meters. Light intensity and color are controlled by times of day, meaning in the evening the spotlights + cove only shine weakly and warm white (Dimtone GU10 + TW Stripe). At noon and morning, however, rather brighter and whiter if light is needed. The spotlights above the counter are controlled separately and turn on when the stove is used. However, I will probably hang them a little higher so that the steam does not get in so much (I had already suspected that they are too low). The cleaning effort will show, but if it is too much other pendant lamps will go there. The current ones only cost 10€ each from Ikea.

Regarding spotlights and lighting, everything is a matter of taste, for example, I do not like panels in the living dining area because they do not create interesting light. They produce bright even light but I also have that in the office.

For those that will be purchased :) If that doesn't prove itself, one could retrofit something, for example with a sliding worktop that can be pulled forward or a roller shutter cabinet. At least something like that is more practical than a new room for toasters and co. https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/familienhaus-in-randlage-mit-freien-sicht.39405/

I don't find the "coming out" of the devices bad at all, I've noticed. What annoys me more are long distances. I have a fairly large kitchen where I still have everything within reach in no time.
The large kitchen machine is in a lower drawer with accessories. Hop, grab it firmly, lift it up, take half a step to the countertop, done. And that's how it is with all the devices.
Only the bread and cold cuts slicer stands firmly on the countertop. Not so nice, but because of the crumbs I didn't want to have it somewhere in the cupboard. I find sufficient workspace more important than a collection of devices in the cupboard.

Another advantage is that I store my devices distributed in the kitchen so that they are near the frequently used accessories. That is also practical.
