What I find very confusing are the different dimensions, e.g. the cabinets of the island: next to the shelves there are still three different widths used, since the boxes are additionally emphasized, it is very busy.

Yes, that was a point we thought about and fiddled with, but in the end we still found it best that way... whether it will stay that way in practice, unfortunately you never know exactly beforehand. Yes, the shelves are small but I am sure I will find pretty things for them and for now my little daughter is allowed to put her mini play dishes there too... that will probably look very cute as well

Exactly... she takes everything except the matching small things... so they can be decoration.

You could also put the ketchup bottles in the bottle racks.

large kitchen for a rental apartment. The sink was probably completely in the corner. That used to be modern. I'm looking forward to the carpenter kitchen

No, I was the first tenant in the apartment and that was in 2006. I wanted a self-contained ceramic hob and a tall oven; also a large refrigerator. The connections were predetermined, so there wasn’t much room to maneuver. The kitchen unit could have ended before the second window, but then the kitchen would have been too small for me, and in the middle of the window looked silly – so it just got that long. Since I really cook a lot and like to, it fits just fine. Now I’ve been living here for over 12 years, my husband joined me in 2010 (back then still without a marriage certificate *g*), so it has paid off.

I’m also looking forward to the carpenter kitchen.

However, I noticed that I don’t have an up-to-date drawing of the latest planning status and therefore can’t provide one here. But we will have a meeting with the carpenter soon anyway to finalize the planning (and he still has to do a few other installations for us).
