10 sockets in the kitchen are not really that many...

10 sockets in the kitchen is not really excessive...

maybe for connecting stove, refrigerator, etc., but I wonder why so many are needed above the countertop? We only need three, a fourth is occasionally used for charging phones.

Radio, kettle, coffee machine and then a baking session where you need both a hand mixer and a kitchen machine at the same time - and then also the charging option for the phone with the recipe on it. Murphy's law that you need everything at the same time when you don't have any free plug left

The white box above the window is the ventilation system. Better too many than then 1 too few and get annoyed. Socket cost a total of 10,-€, so screw it.
