The upper cabinet layout is not final yet. The depth is a small problem, we are still working on it. Currently, it is only available in "40 cm" depth.

We had the same problem in the corner next to the oven. In the end, we decided against an upper cabinet and solved it this way. Very practical, we wanted that too. But then it was dropped because of the appearance, the thing just looks stupid.

It actually does look stupid when you have it completely closed.. But I either have it half or fully open and my wine glasses etc. inside, that looks good

Well, I don't think it looks "stupid." It's probably a matter of taste again.

. If you don't really need the closed upper cabinets to the left of the fridge/freezer, I would just take an open shelf there. I would find it visually more appealing than upper cabinets that don't quite fit with the ones below and to the right.

I think it doesn't look that good because it reminds me more of office furniture. But it was the most functional for us. Open shelves were out of the question for me. Still, I am super happy with the piece and would definitely prefer such a cabinet again in such a constellation!
