We also decided against a fixed draining board attached to the sink. Just google Joseph Joseph extend. It works great and can be set up when needed or stored in the cabinet under the sink. This way it always looks tidy. And the best feature was the second sink on our worktop. This way you can always use one basin for washing vegetables, draining, and so on. The second one can be used directly for washing up. If there is enough space, I would definitely consider it again!

Funny that you mention it, we have the predecessor Joseph Joseph Arena. And it stands ON the draining board. Therefore, in the house we will probably also take a sink without a draining area, preferably a second basin instead.

Tell me a bit more about the teppanyaki grill I can't really remember... You did show your kitchen... could you see the grill plate there?

So we have a little more than 4 meters of countertop plus 1.80 meters of island. After subtracting the "appliances," I still have 4 meters of space purely for chopping, placing things, coffee machine, and surely also some additional equipment or decoration. And I have everything quickly within reach by maybe just turning around but never having to walk far. Do you seriously think that is little? Currently, for example, I see many kitchens where entire rows are replaced by tall cabinets and there is only an island in front of them, which also has to accommodate the sink and hob. Overall, calling 5.80 meters of countertop tiny, I think, is a bit exaggeratedly harsh.

Where is the dishwasher? The draining board seems to be to the left of the sink and the dishwasher underneath, unusual, old-fashioned. And you always work in the dark, the light is behind you, dark worktop, dark niche backsplash. Take a look at the whole thing in daylight, a difference like night and day.

The plan would be interesting.

It also works perfectly well without a dishwasher and without a draining board in our 2+2 person household. Teamwork after eating: washing, drying, putting away. It works.
