I found it a shame, at least, that in the new kitchen design there was no more space for an open liquor shelf. I'm not a huge wine connoisseur, but many bottles are vacation purchases or were gifts for special occasions. Yes, I like to remember those, just as I can enjoy the consumption of this drug on equally special occasions. Why should I hide these memories in the cupboard? Enjoyment apparently has no place in today's world anymore. Everything has to be clean, practical, efficient, useful, productive, healthy, and sustainable. What are we even living for anymore? Just for work?

My call to spontaneously photograph the kitchens already shown (from moving in) was not answered by anyone except .

Somehow it doesn't add up. Teens don't set out bottles that they buy to drink. On Friday afternoon, shopping is done for the weekend. End of story. There's no message there.

The half-drunk bottles are just lying around or simply the deliberately arranged empties.
