I just wanted to ask if the base cabinet with waste system and the recessed one are the same?

Is not the same.
Base cabinet with waste system is the abbreviation for trash under the countertop, i.e. the trash is in a drawer directly under the countertop in the area where you usually do the chopping work. Then you can sweep the waste directly from the countertop into the waste drawer and nothing falls beside it. Super practical.

I don't think this bin in the dead corner is bad either. Reminds me of the waste solution in the "Frankfurter Küche"
