The Catellani&Smith lamps are all pretty cool anyway. I started drooling immediately over that one:


But they only have cool lights anyway, I would want to have every single one.

But as I said: lamps are my personal fetish, I admit it.

Awesome… well, I personally also find them really brilliant. After I googled the price, and had already thought before... I would be willing to pay up to €1,500 … but then I gave up on that again.

But I can totally understand the fetish... lamps do so much to a room, unfortunately you can almost always tell that cheap lamps are cheap :/

I think Ikea has very nice lamps and they cost nothing. For a lamp, I would never spend more than 100 euros, rather 10 euros. With the money saved, I prefer to treat myself to something else... äthsch that was Off-Toppic..

Lamps often have such a long service life and light is so important in interior design - I understand everyone who spends more with a certain sense of aesthetics and design. Usually it is the avant-garde that comes up with lamps like the Stchu Moon around the corner, hand-clipped and painted, indirectly lit - something special. Then other mid-range manufacturers come with a borrowed version and in the end there is the lamp simply at Ikea.

Our compromise when building houses is: hallway and bathrooms basic lighting from the house builder (Brumberg), bedroom, guest room/pantry etc. something from SLV or similar, dressing room good spotlights CRI 90+, kitchen & dining room high-quality, design, CRI 90+. It also has to fit the rest in the kitchen.

Is there a specific reason why the SbS protrudes so far? To be able to open the doors?

that is not a design highlight with the big elephant ears and the rather utilitarian conversion of the SbS. But it doesn't have to be. The main thing is practical.
