I still have a "problem". This time it is about the freezer. It is located behind the kitchen in the pantry, which is accessible through the kitchen unit and also from the other side in the hallway. Despite 7sqm of pantry, it gets very warm because of the freezer, which of course drives up the electricity consumption, and you cannot store potatoes or similar things there. There is no underfloor heating in the pantry and the blind is permanently down. The temperatures are already at 21°C because the afternoon sun shines directly on the side of the pantry. I wonder how it will be in summer and whether I should put the freezer somewhere else. However, I don’t have a basement and it is warm everywhere... Up to what maximum temperatures is this reasonable for the freezer and the electricity consumption?

Did you seriously think that you could store potatoes or something like that there? In a pantry next to the kitchen in rooms that must never get cold and are regulated as such, you can’t expect a few square meters to stay cool – maybe even below 10° possibly.

The freezer, of course, generates a bit more heat. No idea where you could put the freezer if you don’t have a basement.

Outside, in the garage?

The thing with the potatoes was of course not meant seriously. What is important to me is that it does not eventually reach 30°C here due to the waste heat from the freezer. Can that happen or should I not worry about it?

Most would probably strike at 16 degrees, at the latest at 10 degrees. They can usually tolerate heat up to 32 degrees. I wouldn't worry about it.

I only have the problem when I hold things quite far up under the water stream

We also have a Blanco Linus, when you open it a gush comes out that if you're not careful the kitchen always floods... besides, the thing has been dripping after a little over 2 years now.. great quality.. In the utility room I installed one myself for 50€ from Amazon, which is much better..
