I think that’s too specific for that... although, in the 70s atrium bungalows were once very en vogue.

Originally, I wanted to build a pool or an oversized jacuzzi in there, but my wife vetoed it... for whatever reason...

For most builders, the atrium is buried by the size of the plot.

Half of it currently gets relatively long sun; in summer it should be a bit more. For the hot midsummer days, we also have a shade that can be closed.

The picture above was taken at 3:25 PM, and the tree (located in the northern corner) was still completely in the sun. The southern corner, accordingly, was rather shaded.

It reminds me of my school. The music room was located at an atrium. It was overgrown like a jungle and always had a dark green twilight. Mysterious and creepy at the same time.
