A suggestion regarding a recommendation. So that the OP does not plan something that later does not fit their habits. To the OP: For example, we love our small pantry. It is only just over 1 sqm in size, but has shelves on 3 sides. That is super clear and much better than a cupboard.

Sloping plot and laundry can be hung outside to dry on the upper floor, like with us. We just don't know that due to lack of information from the OP.

What I also remember:
We have a side entrance door from the utility room to (not into) the garages, shed driveway, and rear garden area. We use it more when we are at home than the actual front door. I wouldn’t want to miss that. But it depends on the floor plan and the overall design.

What I also find important: a work surface for folding things. I used to have to do that on the bed, which was not very back-friendly. Now I have enough space for that on the washing machine and dryer, which stand side by side. If you want to place them higher, I would create a work surface nearby.
And in the utility room, a hanging option for dripping wet items.

I fold things on a pull-out wardrobe shelf - I would have also liked to have the washing machine and dryer on the first floor, but that didn’t fit. We also have a shelf above the sink, and yes, if we didn’t have a mirrored cabinet hanging above it, I would find a normal wall mirror much too far away to look into comfortably. As for the other niches... I’m also missing the floor plan.

Much more important than a laundry chute, I find it is to have a suitable place for the drying rack.
