These are Lampe Gras - French industrial lights from 1921. Above the kitchen island hang two of the same!

What did you use as grout? I really like the tiles

Here is the finished kitchen

The thing with the tiles is a matter of taste, but properly laid with the transitions. But do you have the Heizkreisverteiler in the pantry? (It is the pantry, right) and the pattern of the recessed ceiling spotlights looks very unfortunate in the photo. It can of course look different in real life.

You mean between tiles and parquet? The tiles were grouted there in the "normal" way and the parquet guy used silicone there.

It was also a lot of work and a lot of waste...

Yeah, the heating circuit distributor is in the pantry but the pipes don't just run through the pantry, they go through the wall above the hallway into the rooms. No heating pipe runs through the pantry itself. I just didn’t want the box in the hallway.

The recessed ceiling spotlights do look strange in the picture.

I installed two rows of four and the three above the island centered. It only looks strange because the photo was taken a bit from the side.

I have to admit, I find it better than I thought.
I just don’t know if you did yourselves a favor with that.
We have the stove on the wall and the sink on the island, and because of that there are regularly drips and stains on the floor in between. I imagine that’s not so easy with that amount of grout...

Have fun in the kitchen and in your new home.

By the way, I would be very interested in more pictures of your house.
