I completely agree with you. Off topic, I feel the same about nightstands. Having nightstands is so bourgeois and old-fashioned, but they are simply practical and helpful.

Our kitchen was finally completely finished this weekend. We assembled the 177 Ikea boxes ourselves.

I almost feel a bit regretful that we ultimately decided against Ikea. We also had a design in the planner. With exactly these fronts, the sink, and a countertop in a similar color.

The Ikea kitchen offered us the best price-performance ratio. We also had time for the assembly. Although it took quite a long time (about 8 days), we hadn't expected that, but it was neither tricky nor tedious.

However, 18 cabinets with interiors simply take their time, and we would choose an Ikea kitchen again anytime. Especially because of the price transparency (which we missed in the kitchen studios).

In terms of electrical appliances, we chose the stove and refrigerator from Ikea. The oven and microwave are from Neff, and the dishwasher is from Siemens.

That is exactly why we chose IKEA and will do so again soon, after our friend stopped selling Bax kitchens years ago. I hardly know any area where prices are manipulated and disguised as much as in the kitchen sector. It is no coincidence that kitchen stores have sprung up in recent years and furniture stores occupy entire floors with them. Our acquaintance himself says that IKEA has always been active especially in the design area, even though the kitchen furniture has some limitations in terms of shapes and dimensions; of course elsewhere too. But it is precisely this transparency and now even the self-developed experience during assembly that is really enjoyable. As you can see with you, a little more imagination and taste is needed, and together with other products a wonderful kitchen can be built.
