Because we a) had prefabricated ceilings and b) heat dissipation must also take place with LEDs, i.e., you need installation boxes.

I would take the tip about the countertop with caution. If the spot is exactly at the edge of the board, you get exactly what you don't want when you lean over something: shadows. Better in the middle. That's how we have it too, and it lights perfectly.

Thanks already for the many tips! I find it particularly difficult to plan the lighting for the living and dining rooms. If I use normal ceiling lamps and then move the table, the lamp hangs in the wrong place. And the spots are distributed anyway, so it doesn't matter where the furniture is placed. I think that's a big advantage. And in the living room, you could additionally place a floor lamp for coziness, or install wall lamps...

In the kitchen, I will definitely install spots above the worktop so that I always have enough light there. And above the sink island, probably rather a nice pendant lamp.

The hallway and bathrooms will probably get spots too. I still have to think about the rest...

So, I have thought back and forth again and am attaching the pictures where I have marked the possible spots.
Here first is the hallway.
I have planned 2 rows with 3 spots each. I have written approximate distances for that.
The front door is on the right. Is that okay, or too much or too little?

In the kitchen, I will definitely put 2 spots above the countertop in front of the window. Above the island, either pendant lamps or lower the ceiling a bit and then add spots and indirect lighting. But I am still a bit puzzled about the dining area. I would like to have spots there, as it is still unclear exactly how the table will be placed later. At first, we will take our current table with chairs, which will be placed further out in the room. But later, a dining area with a leather corner bench is planned, then everything will move into the corner.
Does anyone have an idea how the spots could be arranged here?

Hi, how about additional floor lighting? The floor display case could also be creatively designed. ...
