Normally, measurements are taken on site and not manufactured according to plans

that is clear, but it doesn't change the fact that you have to work magic if the niche is 298cm wide but you actually wanted 300. Safer is 305 and then a compensation element. In our case, we also had to reduce the pharmacy cabinet from 45cm wide to 40cm wide in the end, because the niche was narrower than expected. It's good if you can solve it that easily.

First: our deposit 1 year earlier was actually a joke (100 Euro), for that the person really had time for us, but of course there was still an on-site measurement afterwards, twice—once after plastering for the furniture, and once again after setting the furniture for the countertop with a digital device, so that the countertop would be cut perfectly (in case, for example, the wall was slightly curved or something). I am still amazed at how they carried each of the panels with 6 men, and maneuvered one between the wall, back panel, and refrigerator; in the end, there was only half a millimeter of space everywhere. They were sweating, you thought all the time it wouldn't fit, but it did.

We didn’t have to provide quantities at all - however, we had to present proof of payment in cash or a transfer confirmation upon delivery. The kitchen builder once said that he had a case where after installation the homeowner issued a house ban and claimed that nothing had ever been delivered... of course, that doesn’t work out in the end, but apparently it causes a lot of stress and upfront effort, which as a young company you have to be able to manage first.

I also have two questions about that:

1. We start construction in March 2017. The planning etc. is underway. You only get the installation plans after you have bought the kitchen. So when should we buy the kitchen at the earliest?

2. Two advisors claim that after the fairs that take place in autumn/winter, prices go up because new kitchens come in. New collection, so to speak . I am usually skeptical about "great offers." But can that be true?
