The dishwasher does not go into any cabinet, only the front is mounted onto it. BSH 86.5 cm minimum height Vario hinge = fits for Metod.

Yes, I saw that the XXL dishwashers have a height of 86.5cm. I still have the problem that our kitchen window is about 85.5cm high ... if a countertop is supposed to go on top of the dishwasher, it won’t work like that. Or do I have the next thinking error? That way I would come to at least ~ 90.3/90.4cm.

I think I won’t be able to avoid replacing the window or building it up.

The countertop is supported not by the dishwasher but by the cabinets next to it. With the 8 cm high toe kick from METOD, you even reach a height of 91 cm or 92 cm with the countertop. When it comes to the height of the countertop, it should be noted that there may be problems installing the cooktop if the cooktop is located above the oven and the countertop is less than 4 cm thick. Some use lower feet from third-party suppliers under the cabinets, allowing the open window to still be above the countertop. Before I would replace a window (unless it is old and needs to be renewed soon), I would rather not buy a kitchen from IKEA. There are many kitchen manufacturers, and the price differences to IKEA are no longer as large as they used to be.

Oh man ... well, the window itself is already modern, no wood etc. The previous owners had it raised by a few centimeters, unfortunately not enough for us at the moment. Or what else I thought of, possibly using flatter feet for the cabinets.

I was with other providers before and besides the Ikea Bodbyn kitchen, we also liked the Nobilia Chalet. The first cost estimate (U-shaped, about 11-12m) was around 15-16k €! That’s quite a heavy price difference compared to the Ikea one of about 5k € (including refrigerator). Plus dishwasher, oven, and induction cooktop. But I am still significantly below that.

Yes, it is... and the sink comes before that, so the window (as currently) would only be tilt-to-open, which is not a problem.

The window is 1380x1265mm in size...

One could cut out the countertop at the window somewhat so that the window could be tilted open without problems. If the window is closed, there would be a hole visible there and it probably wouldn't look nice. And I don't know any flexible countertop trims...

Another idea would be a new window 10-15cm smaller and accordingly build up the wall. Adjust the roller shutter... would probably all together cost about 1000-1500€.
