Zaba, I can be serious too. So. You have to like it. No one else. You have chosen an open-plan room, so the kitchen has to become part of the living room ambiance, this bar counter does that, even if it is not to everyone's taste. This is not everyone's, but Zaba's house. So, don't let yourself be distracted, follow your own path, Carsten

As I already wrote, the island and the counter were fixed from the start.

Maybe the counter is also some kind of Polish/Russian thing.

The question had nothing to do with the costs. Otherwise, I agree with Kerstin. What surprises me personally a bit is questioning the costs but still neither having done storage planning nor knowing the grid for such an expensive kitchen. I, on the other hand, do not know the usage behavior. Perhaps it is simply not that urgent.

By the way, it is a 6-grid with a carcass height of 78cm. But having this info now doesn't make me any smarter than I was this morning. We didn't do any storage planning because the current kitchen is smaller. Although it has a pantry, it is still smaller. Now there is a pantry, a cellar, and a larger kitchen. Do you not know anyone who eats at the counter? The thing is not just there for decoration!

And place the SBS more where the highboard is? That way you can easily reach the drinks from the dining table and you can always put the goods from the SBS on the counter....

Hm, I constantly need glasses in the work area and at the sink, where the water is. Think about it again. And you also have to bend down at this highboard. Coffee mugs... But if it suits you like that...

Surely nobody needs that. It’s just a hype anyway

I’m saying: if you like it, then take it. It was always clear that you have few walls for the kitchen. However, the kitchen has to function practically.
