But basically, I agree with you. My wife and I earn nearly the same amount, we just bought a second apartment (new build) (100% financed), which currently shows attractive depreciation opportunities. Together with an attractive location in a big city and thus above-average square meter prices, it basically can’t not pay off.
In fact, I have claimed everything I possibly could. Including 15,000 km of private trips as a disabled person. From next year, the income will be significantly higher due to a freelance activity. The plan then is to buy an apartment with special depreciation (Sonder-AfA).
At the same time, the portfolios are growing, salaries are rising, and the mortgage payment remains equally low. A dream!
