Why don't construction prices go down?

I observe that differently in our area (Northern Bavaria). Craftsmen still have plenty to do. But you more commonly get offers upon inquiries. I think there are only isolated cases of falling prices due to wages. Maybe in some trades where raw material prices have fallen significantly and constitute a larger part of the trade costs. But on average across all trades, the costs for craftsmen are still too high.

Complete set offer for a 10 kW system with modules, inverters, storage plugs, cables, etc. is available in the offer. currently for under 6000 euros.

Those would be the pure installation costs at 19,000 euros. I think that is very high, especially when you can easily install such a system in 2 days.

You just have to find someone who will install it for you, approve it, and register it...

Installation is no problem, you can do it yourself. Pulling cables, mounting the inverter and storage as well. I also built everything myself. Registration, connecting the modules to the inverter, installation of the storage was then done by a local electrical specialist company. That cost me 1500 euros. Otherwise, everything is DIY. If you look around, you will find an electrician.

And that's where the problem lies: we believe that the craftsmen are too expensive.

I say: craftsmanship must be worthwhile - in the end, you simply won't find anyone to do the work.

What amuses me the most is when my neighbor complains. He himself works in a higher service position in a trivial job that allows him to slack off half of the normal working hours, but squeezes every last cent out of the craftsmen and then wonders why no one wants to work for him anymore...

I did not mean to say that craftsmen are generally too expensive. They are too expensive to lead to falling prices. For that, the craftsmen costs would have to be cheaper. I rather see that costs would have to rise even more to pay the workforce in such a way that the shortage does not worsen.
