Why don't construction prices go down?

Yes, sure, we could also call the discussion "How do construction prices develop?"

Why should such a thread in the forum "Baukosten / Baunebenkosten / Baupreise" be irrelevant? For the clientele here, the topic of construction prices is probably more relevant than construction costs.

Besides, it’s only about 30% construction prices at most here, the rest is some filler stuff that you can thankfully skim through quickly if you check the author or quoted parts of the author in the respective post.

And yes, of course, everything always gets more expensive in the long term. Stock indices also always rise in the long term. I don’t think anyone doubts that. That’s why so many clever people invest their long-term money in stocks, right?

We’re only discussing certain short-term perspectives and what different things are worth relative to each other. If the discussion here is irrelevant, then any form of stock market news/economic news can also be dismissed as irrelevant. Anja Kohl would only have to repeat every day in "Wirtschaft vor 8" "everything rises in the long term and things get more expensive."

Polish skilled workers built my house. Just a little hint. Of course, at a fraction of the German costs.
And even the German roofer spoke positively about the outstanding quality of the Polish colleagues.

In this respect, great work at very reasonable prices. No problems.

You have no idea about the development of an economic depression.

The USA, like Europe, face a massive recession. National debt will continue to expand and financial markets are already going crazy. Not recognizable for the layman for sure, but behind the scenes, there is already a huge crisis. Lindener was not dismissed for nothing.

For the first time in history, the yield of 10-year federal bonds was above the swap rate and there is now a negative swap spread. That has never happened before. And it is a serious warning sign.

Financial expert will surely explain the connections in detail.

That cannot be. The economy there is catastrophically bad with the weak €. Completely run down.

That is not true. A Krugerrand, not only a gold coin but also legal tender, has steadily gained value.
If your currency were calculated in Krugerrands, your house price would have fallen by 80 percent in the last 20 years.

I bought gold 20 years ago. My house construction was very cheap. I didn't need a loan. I didn't trust the euro and simply switched currency back then. My currency is and will remain gold.

Sometimes lacking education is not so bad. One often acts more rationally and decisively and with common sense.
That is sometimes missing in academically educated people.

And always remember. Gold is money!

Then just pay with the gold coins directly at the supermarket. Or your taxes. And then report back here.
