Why don't construction prices go down?

In the first picture, we had seen something similar elsewhere and took the simple idea with us. The rest is then from us. Quickly looked it up. Although the spacing is partly rather uneven and the work is rather mediocrely correct, it completely disappears in the overall picture. As I said, you have to like it, we still really like it and it was just really inexpensive. The extremely expensive offers from two hotel businesses nearly blew us away until we ended up there.

In our recently completed contract, the sheet metal work in titanium zinc for a house (175 sqm) with a hipped roof and a large double garage amounts to just over 4,500€.

I find your prices really steep. For comparison, what I paid in 2024 for a 2.5-story building with 140 sqm gross floor area (gross):

Plaster facade 18 k€
Scaffolding for shell construction / roof 5 k€
Velux roller shutters were cut due to price. Now we only have these pull-down external shades.
Tinsmith for gutters at the house and downpipes + verge cladding 3.7 k€
Tinsmith for loggia, bay window, entrance canopy 5 k€
24 plastic windows including two terrace / balcony doors, however tilt & turn 15 k€ without installation, with installation it would have been 21 k€.
17 aluminum roller shutters including motors and Somfy switches 10 k€ without installation
Sanitary rough installation + heating (underfloor heating) + heat pump including 500l hot water storage tank 43 k€
2x closed landing stairs ground floor->attic floor and attic floor->top floor precast concrete parts with installation 6 k€. Will be floored later in the stairwell.

Hard to say whether salted, regionally customary, or simply higher quality. I have found for myself that higher quality seems to have increased more in price, while cheap goods have rather decreased in price. Currently, it is difficult to get good quality at a mid-range price.
