Aren’t you the one who is constantly preaching about further rising interest rates?
How does that reconcile with deflation...?

Where have material prices significantly dropped? Today there was in the mail: concrete + 8 euros net per cbm, diesel surcharge increased from 1.25 to 2.50 per cbm. Depending on the region, this results in a significant surcharge (in this example just under 10 euros, about 8%) at the turn of the year. And due to the tax increase, it affects every industry that supplies material.

At the turn of the year, it hits hard... Plus the again zero predictable government subsidies.

That’s how it is, concrete, CO2, tolls, wages, etc.

Rising interest rates, falling prices = deflation.

Due to the continued price increases and thus rising inflation despite rising interest rates, interest rates will rise until prices fall. Inflation always comes in waves. There is no room for falling interest rates.

Received the notification today that the flat fee for the water connection is increasing monthly from 4 to 12 euros. A 200 percent increase just like that.
Electricity is more expensive due to grid fees, fuel is more expensive due to the CO² levy, inflation due to truck tolls.

Interest rate hikes yes, deflation maybe only towards the end of 2024.

And how do you explain then the factually already massively fallen interest rates? And the clear statement of the Fed to lower interest rates next year. And the statement of the ECB that the time of interest rate hikes is over? And the fact of the massively decreased inflation, which is already quite close to the target values again? Probably just a pub economist...
