When the bailiff from the tax office stands at your door, he prefers nothing more than a few Krugerrand coins. You can be sure of that.

The value density of gold is also phenomenal. You take 4 ounces in your pocket and have 10k euros with you that you can exchange at any major train station in the world into any currency of this world. Whether it’s rubles, yen, or USD. It doesn’t matter at all.

As I said, every paper currency sooner or later returns to its intrinsic value. The intrinsic value is zero!

To understand you correctly: You first have to become liable to prosecution until the enforcement order, or you have to convert the gold back into money before you can use it like money? That's your argument?

I do think that Buchsbaum's chains of argument are sometimes very questionable, but in my opinion, a certain skepticism towards the fiat money system and political dignitaries does no harm. I am more the type for stocks, but gold is also good. Of course, you have a certain amount of cash, but anyone holding several tens of thousands of euros in cash or fixed-term/daily money should also reflect on that.

His argument was that gold is money. It is not. It is an investment asset. It can be seized or confiscated by the enforcement officer – that does not make it money. The backing of state money lies precisely in the acceptance requirement, which results from the fact that the state only allows tax payments in its own currency. That doesn’t work with gold. That you can sell it for money that you then have: No. Oh! Just like with stocks, real estate, etc. No one comes up with the idea of calling these money. In international waters, one can pay the crew’s wages in gold. But I believe this case is quite rare and does not equate it to money. And that there even is a fiat system at all is very old and had very good reasons. One was not having to wage wars all the time if you want to grow (not that wars wouldn't have been fought anyway).

When and how I pay my taxes is basically up to me. It is not a crime to not pay your taxes. It is not looked upon favorably, of course. But it is not relevant criminally.

If you don’t pay your vehicle tax or property tax, it is completely irrelevant criminally. Then either the enforcement officer comes, your account is garnished, or something else happens. But nothing more. Interest on arrears and late fees.

Of course, you have to tell the truth on your tax returns. That is clear. But if you don’t pay your tax debts. Doesn’t matter. Whether it is worth the trouble, however, I doubt.

You keep explaining over and over that it's better elsewhere, that the German currency is worthless anyway, somehow everything is crap. A concrete question for you: Why do you live in this completely broken country with a decayed economy, a desolate currency, an imminent horror scenario and whatnot, when you have known for at least 20 years where and how it's better—no, perfect. Why aren't you already a king or some other mogul in Romania, Tonga or Belize with your knowledge? No, you torment yourself here with ignorant fools and spread crude fantasies and wild claims mixing cake baking to baking to the point of obscuring the original question. What remains, however, is that without gold there is no meaningful life and you have foreseen everything for 20 years. Instead of being a well-known successful person, you stumble through the net here every evening and torment yourself here instead of shining visibly somewhere in public. So it apparently didn’t quite work out with the implementation after all. I certainly don’t want to explain the economy to you, so I’ll just keep quiet about it; unfortunately, nowadays everyone has a supposedly well-founded opinion about everything and the worst part is that each of these people thinks they have to babble this stuff incessantly to everyone. Back in the day (grandpa talks about the war) you would simply slap the person at the regulars’ table after the 7th beer and 8th stupid comment and then there was finally peace before raising the 8th beer together; today people act smart on the internet instead. Two things, about which I occasionally have an idea, I’ll tell you: They would send you back from abroad (where everything is supposedly so great) after 3 months, no, you would come home on your own after two months, like almost everyone who thinks they invented the gravy and wanted to brag about it abroad. Nobody is waiting for you anywhere and certainly not for your patter. This pathological babbling about gold as the only trustworthy value before the impending downfall I hear especially and repeatedly since Corona, and only in the conspiracy milieu; if I then hear Telegram mentioned, the other nonsense is not far away either.
