That's why I'm asking, I think apples and oranges are often compared.

Aha. I am currently in Sweden and happy about SEK/EUR at 11.5 to 1. A year ago it was almost 10 to 1.
Devaluation of the euro? I can’t see that. The euro-dollar parity is long gone too; you currently get just under 1.10 dollars for one euro.

You really have no idea what you’re talking about ;)

Even though he says a lot of nonsense, he is not entirely wrong. Inflation devalues money, and the USA and the Dollar are no exceptions. I occasionally import car parts from the States, and these have increased by 30-50% in the last two years.

Take a look at the development of the Swiss Franc; you can really see the devaluation there.

To measure a currency, one needs a standard. By definition, that is the dollar.

Basically, the value of a currency can be measured in everything that can be bought with this currency. Immutable things are logically particularly meaningful, for example, gold.

Since the dollar is currently the standard by definition, it would be factually correct to say that gold has appreciated for a long time. Saying that the currency has depreciated against gold is logically the same.

Possibly I got mixed up with the terms GFA and NFA. I took the plan again and added up the NFA: 216.99 sqm including the terrace recessed on the ground floor and areas that are only partially calculated. With the offer price of 525k for the described performance, I come to 2419 euros per sqm NFA.

Yes, and if I outfit the place with bookmatching marble and install Swissfineline from corner to corner, I might come to 10k+ per sqm. Or does the basement in your calculation only bring costs and no area? If you include the exterior facilities (and maybe a pool?) in the calculation, the comparison becomes completely unrealistic. I was talking about a house and not a garden.

Araknis, as already mentioned, you have to calculate using living space or, if you prefer, usable space to arrive at a value per square meter.
